Cat and Mouse
She licks her paws,
bares her teeth,
arches her back,
and readies her feet.
She watches intensly,
her eyes open wide.
She leaps without hesitation,
succedes with her pride.
With her prey now submitting,
she lays down to eat
the tasty dinner
or freshly caught meat.
The blood stains her hands
as she finishes the meal.
Nothing could match
the contentness she feels.
Eat or be eaten.
It's just how life is.
Only the strongest
of creatures may live.
All in all,
from then until now,
life has just been a game
of simple cat and mouse.
